The Mustangs started conference play with a win against CAC foe St. Mary's College. The Seahawks had beat our team last year 3-0 in our only loss in the conference as they went on to win the CAC tournament. This year we started well with an early goal from one of our seniors, Katie Decker. Katie has one of the hardest shots in the conference and it was a tough ball for the goalkeeper to deal with off a corner kick. We played a solid game and really stepped it up in the second half. Stephanie Eyler scored her second goal of the season to make it 2-0 and even though St. Mary's pulled one back we held on for a great win. I was very impressed with our first conference game and it was great to start with a win, brilliant job ladies!
